Community Centre Coordinator

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage the front-end of the Helping Hands “store / café” space — welcoming clients (“friends”), checking them in, helping them access items/services.
  • Build relationships: engage with clients, listen to their needs, help connect them with local services (housing, health, food, social supports).
  • Keep front-end space organized, clean, and welcoming. Re-stock supplies, manage donation-based goods or services offered (if applicable).
  • Maintain records (attendance logs, service referral logs), assist with intake or sign-in processes.
 
Supervision plan:
  • Supervisor: “Storefront Manager” — on-site supervision daily. More than 2 years’ supervisory experience.
  • Feedback: informal daily, formal review biweekly.
 
Preferred education: none (open to high school or post-secondary)
 
Hours / Duration / Wage: e.g. 35 hours/week, 8 weeks, $21/hour
