Using your own vehicle, pick up items donations from stores or organizations on behalf of Helping Hands and drop off at our 349 Barton Street E. location.
Daytime Store and Cafe Support
Assist in providing coffee, clothing, conversation and support to individuals who use our daytime Services Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 1 – 4 p.m.
Board Game Café
Assist in providing coffee, conversation and support to individuals who attend our Board Game Café on Friday evenings from 7 – 9 p.m.
Food Provision
Donate baked goods or lunches to the programs that run throughout the week.
Sunday Service
Assist in providing coffee, conversation and support to those attending introduction to worship on Sundays from 2 – 3:30 p.m.
Men’s Programming
Support our men’s Bible study (10 – 11 a.m.) or men’s social group (11 – 1 p.m.) on Thursdays. Leadership opportunities available as appropriate.
Women’s Programming
Support our women’s Bible study on Wednesdays from 10 – 11:30 a.m. or women’s social group on Thursdays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Leadership opportunities available as appropriate.
Project Hope Evening Support
Provide coffee, conversation and support to women who access our Saturday morning (1 – 6 a.m.) drop in.
Event Support
Provide support for holidays and events as they occur, help them run smoothly. Examples include Christmas, Coldest Night of the Year, etc.
Clothing Sorting
Sort through donations and restock our free clothing store.
Cleaning Support
Assist us in maintaining a safe, hygienic and welcoming space. This support can offered weekly, every other week, once a month or “one-off” times for deep cleaning.
